Terms and Conditions

These are the terms between you and BassMetrik Labs LLC ("we") for using the GramLogic app and gramlogic.app. By creating an account you accept them. They are written to be read; where a plain sentence and a legal one would say the same thing, we kept the plain one.

GramLogic is not medical advice. It estimates calories and macros from formulas and food databases, and it can be wrong. It is not a substitute for a doctor, a dietitian, or your own judgement. Do not use it to manage a medical condition, an eating disorder, or a pregnancy without professional advice. If you are under 16, GramLogic is not for you.

Your account

One person per account. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your login. You may use the app on as many of your own devices as you like. You can sign out, export your data, or delete your account at any time from Profile; deleting is permanent.

The subscription

GramLogic Pro is a subscription sold through Google Play, either yearly or monthly, at the price shown on the screen when you subscribe.
Both plans start with a seven-day free trial. Nothing is charged during the trial. Two days before it ends we remind you, by notification or email, of the date the plan starts. Cancel before that date and you pay nothing.
After the trial the plan renews automatically at the shown price until you cancel it on Google Play. Google handles payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds under its own terms; we never see your payment details.
If a subscription ends, the app becomes read-only: your history stays open and stays yours, and only adding or changing entries needs Pro. Following someone else's progress never needs Pro.
Prices may change for future renewal periods; Google Play tells you first and you can cancel.

What you may do, and not do

Use the app for your own tracking and to share your progress with people you invite. Do not try to break into it, scrape it, run it against other people's accounts, resell it, or use it to harass anyone through a Circle. We can suspend an account that does any of these.

Your data

Your logs are yours. Our privacy policy is part of these terms and says what we collect, that we do not sell your health data, and how to delete it. You give us the right to store and process what you log so that the app can work, and nothing more.

Food data and estimates

Nutrition figures come from public databases (USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts) and from estimates the app makes from what you type, say or photograph. Figures for branded products come from the makers and can be out of date. Treat every number as an estimate with a margin of a few percent, which is how the app itself treats them.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service running, but it can be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control, and the app keeps working on your phone while it is. We may change or retire features. If we ever shut the service down we will give at least 30 days' notice and keep export working until the end.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, the app is provided as is, and our total liability to you for anything arising from it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on the app's numbers. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for our own fraud or gross negligence, or your statutory consumer rights where you live.

Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes go to the courts there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to something else. Write to us first; most things can be sorted out by email.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top changes and the app tells you before the change applies. If you keep using the app after that, you accept the new terms; if not, delete your account.
